E8 Futures trade copier and account terms
PartnerE8 Futures lets you buy unlimited challenges; in the Performance stage it allocates up to five Signature Futures accounts per household, with no more than three at the 100K or 150K sizes. Signature accounts use an end-of-day trailing drawdown, and E8 publishes current drawdown and payout terms on its plan page. Trading runs on Tradovate or NinjaTrader, and Echo Trader copies and journals across all of your accounts from the cloud.

E8’s accounts at a glance
The number that shapes how you run E8 is the Performance-stage account cap, and it depends on account size. E8 allocates how many Signature Futures accounts a household can run at once in Performance: up to five in total, but no more than three at the 100K or 150K sizes. Worked through, that looks like this:
| Allocation | Within cap? |
|---|---|
| 5 × 50K | Within cap |
| 3 × 150K | Within cap |
| 3 × 150K + 2 × 50K | Within cap (E8’s own example) |
| 4 × 100K | NOT within cap (100K/150K capped at 3) |
The pattern to hold onto: the overall ceiling is five, but the 100K and 150K sizes have a tighter ceiling of three. You can top up the remaining slots with smaller accounts, which is exactly what E8’s own "3 × 150K + 2 × 50K" example shows.
Passing more accounts than the cap doesn’t waste them. E8 keeps the extra passed accounts in reserve until a slot opens, then lets you activate one. That matters for planning copier groups: when a reserve account activates, you simply add it to your existing Echo group as another follower, rather than rebuilding anything.
Two allocation rules frame all of this. You keep one E8X profile per person, and the caps apply per household — same residence or IP — not per account holder. Two traders living in one home share the same cap between them, so plan your allocation around the household total, not a per-person number.
E8 publishes its current Signature drawdown amounts, payout frequency and profit split on its own product page, and those can change. Check E8’s current payout terms and split there before you size a group — they are E8’s terms, not Echo’s.
How Echo helps with your E8 accounts
- Connect your E8 account to Echo via Tradovate or NinjaTrader (E8 lists both).
- Create a copier group with one of your Performance accounts as leader — leading from your smallest account lets ratios scale up.
- Add your other E8 accounts as followers, keeping within the Performance-stage cap for your account sizes.
- Set each follower's daily loss limit in Echo below E8's, and turn on drawdown tracking.
- Place one micro contract to confirm each follower fills, then trade normally.
Managing E8 drawdown and risk with Echo
E8 Signature Futures uses an end-of-day trailing drawdown: the floor follows your balance up and steps forward at the close of each day rather than tick by tick. The exact drawdown amounts vary by account size and can change, so treat this page as the concept and check E8’s current Signature drawdown amounts on E8’s own plan page before you size a copier group. In broad terms, an EOD trailing floor is more forgiving than an intraday trailing one, because a brief dip during the session doesn’t ratchet the floor — only the end-of-day balance does.
Because the floor moves at the close, set each follower’s daily loss limit in Echo comfortably below E8’s number and turn on Echo’s per-account drawdown tracking. That watches each follower’s distance to its floor across your group, so you can flatten one account or all of them before a swing trips a breach.
The main planning limit, though, is the one from the policy section: the per-household Performance cap — five Signature accounts, with 100K and 150K limited to three. Build your copier group inside that ceiling, and remember that any accounts you pass beyond it sit in reserve rather than being lost. When a reserve account becomes activatable, add it to the group as a new follower and carry on.
E8 Futures sets its own terms and is the authority on them. Echo’s per-account daily and weekly loss and profit limits and drawdown tracking help you stay comfortably inside whatever your plan allows.
What Echo copies
Echo copies all order types — market, limit, stop, brackets and OCO — plus modifications, cancels and flatten. Each follower’s size follows its copy ratio, set in 0.1 increments (e.g. 0.5x, 1.5x), so a smaller account can follow a bigger leader. Keep every account in your group your own and review E8 Futures’s current terms before you trade.
Journal your E8 accounts
Every copied trade syncs to Echo’s journal automatically. Tag each trade, mark whether you followed your plan, and review P&L by time of day and Echo Score across all your E8 accounts. Signed P&L certificates share results without screenshots. See the journal.
